OHANA Partnerships and Affiliations

BUILDING OHANA is a big job.  We are inspired and directed by the strengths, abilities, needs and hopes of individuals and families impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities,  but Ohana village will be a place for all people. Our work is a community endeavor, requiring participation from every domain..  We are beginning to build that coalition in Ohana style.

Generations of Hope is an award-winning nonprofit corporation formed to support local efforts for the development of intergenerational intentional communities across the country.  OHANA board member, Brenda Eheart, founded Generations of Hope and OHANA will incorporate many of their research-based practices as we develop our community of intentional neighboring.

A partner since inception, Taylor Engineering then merged with the region’s leading engineering and planning firm, Parametrix.  Fully employee owned, Parametrix prides itself in designing places that enhance communities and will continue to be a major donor in support of Ohana’s operating capacity, providing us with office space and technically appointed meeting space for our board of directors and development team meetings.

Northwest Autism Center (NAC) has served children and adults with autism and their families for over ten years, providing direct treatment services, community information and support, education and training, and advocacy.   NAC offers information, expertise and  community connections to support the development of an Ohana community.

BUILDING OHANA is attracting interest and support from public and private entities throughout our region. If you have an interest in creating healthy inclusive communities in Spokane, Washington and beyond...
